From 1996 - 2001 we sang at nursing homes and retirement communities. We found the elderly to be desperate for love and attention. For 3 years we traveled almost non-stop living in a travel trailer in order to be able to spread the love of Jesus to all the southern states. We performed in hundreds of homes in this time period.
In September of 2001 we traveled to New York City to encourage the police and firemen after the tragedy of 9/11. We found a city devasted and in despair. Not only were we able to sing for the fire and police departments but crowds gathered on the streets as well. In 3 short days we sang and performed 25 shows for over 500 people. Many lives were touched and hearts lifted.
A great ministry was ministering to the sailors at the Port of Houston through the Seafarers Center. Tom was able to distribute scores of Bibles and other Gospel literature reaching sailors from all over the world. At Christmas time when the sailors were especially lonely, with the help of local churches we were able to give out hundreds of gift boxes full of needed items.
